Domain Rating

A 0-100 score that estimates the overall backlink authority of a domain.

Definition

Domain Rating (DR) is a backlink-based authority metric scored from 0 to 100 on a logarithmic scale. It estimates the strength of a domain’s overall backlink profile relative to every other domain on the open web. DR is calculated primarily from the quantity and quality of referring domains, weighted by their own DR. A DR 60 site has roughly 10x the backlink power of a DR 40 site, and DR 80 sites are exponentially rarer than DR 60 sites. DR is a third-party metric (most commonly associated with Ahrefs) and is distinct from Domain Authority, a similar score from Moz.
